Great band but greatest manitobans? Come on!!! While their success may have increased our visibility on the north american stage, they did not work to eliminate poverty, fight social stigmas, battle for human rights etc. I love their songs but a community center is enough.

If people are angry that these guys did well, then maybe you are mad at other agenda's in your life. I do agree that there are much more deserving but, Kale, Cummings, Peterson, Leskiw, Wallace & the late Kurt Winter live most of the year in Winnipeg. This is home for them? Best local talent ever? Absolutely! Where's Randy? (Booo T. O.).
